about

This composition is inspired by the winding, mountainous drive through the San Jacinto Wilderness to Garner Valley, California. In Garner Valley there is a small town aptly named Mountain Center. In Mountain Center there is a house on a street called Toolbox Spring Road. In that house there is a utility closet boasting ample beneath-the-stairs storage space and a few circuit breaker boxes. This song was recorded in that utility closet. Afterwards it was sped up ever so slightly by a cassette deck.
