This is an instrumental version of my song 'Back to Earth' from my 2014 EP 'Wild Sound.'

This song tells the story of an angel sent back to earth by God on a mission to save more souls and shepherd them into the afterlife (sort of a 'It's a Wonderful Life' situation). But upon their return to earth they find the world as they knew it and all its inhabitants have been destroyed in an apocalyptic event. The angel walks the earth a thousand times looking for another soul only to come up empty handed and to find that God has moved on. The angel realizes they're stuck on earth and that their soul is doomed to wander.

When I died I came back to Earth
Tried to see what life was worth
And I was all alone

I walked down my old street
Making my way through dust and debris
I came to the grave where I lay
I left before the world was blown away
